Guided Steel Erectors, a leading steel erection company in Minnesota, is seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to oversee job site operations, coordinate teams, and ensure efficient use of equipment and resources.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Coordinate and oversee crews, subcontractors, and equipment to optimize productivity.
- Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA and industry regulations.
- Serve as the main point of contact between the field and office, providing regular updates on project status.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise on job sites to maintain progress and quality standards.
- Maintain and track equipment usage, ensuring proper maintenance and availability.
- Train and mentor field personnel to promote a skilled and motivated workforce.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a foreman in steel erection required. 1+ years of management experience desired.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and coordinate multiple teams.
- Strong knowledge of steel erection processes, safety standards, and construction best practices.
- Excellent team-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Proficiency with project management software and computer programs and applications.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
